statement

When I paint, I enter a world of mystery and imagination. In my mind I see Eden – the world as it could have been. When I paint, my thoughts are full of hope, contentment and joy. These feelings are what I wish, not just to convey to others, but to somehow make them feel.

My paintings have been likened to parables in picture form. Many contain hidden images or trompe-l'oeil in order to stimulate the imagination and thoughts of the viewer. The title opens the door to the painting but the whole story is not told. Interpretation of what is seen comes from the soul of the spectator.
